Website scraping lets your receptionist learn from your existing website content — FAQs, service descriptions, policies, and anything else published on your site.

Scan types

TypeWhat it doesBest for
Single pageScans one specific URLFAQ page, pricing page, specific policy
Site crawlFollows internal links and scans multiple pagesEntire website, blog with useful content

Scan status

After starting a scrape, you can track progress:

  • In progress — Pages are being processed
  • Completed — All pages have been scanned and indexed
  • Failed — Something went wrong (check the URL and try again)

Once complete, you can view a list of all scraped pages with extracted content summaries.

Keeping content current

Websites change over time. Use Reprocess on a knowledge source to re-scan your website and update the receptionist’s knowledge. Run this after making significant content changes to your site.

After updating pricing, services, or policies on your website, reprocess your knowledge source to ensure your receptionist has the latest information.
