Voice Library FAQs

How can I access the Voice Library?

The Voice Library is available to all our users. To access it, log in and click on 'Voices -> Explore' in the sidebar.

How can I share a voice in the Voice Library?

All you need to do to share a voice in the Voice Library is (i) create a Professional Voice Clone or Voice Design voice, (ii) click the sharing icon next to the voice in your Voice Lab, and (iii) set your sharing options. It's that easy!

What type of voices appear in the Voice Library?

The Voice Library contains Professional Voice Clones (PVCs) and Voice Design (synthetic) voices shared by our users. Instant Voice Clones cannot be shared in the Voice Library at this time.

What metadata and filters does the Voice Library offer to help me find the right voice for me?

All voices come with a detailed description to help you understand what they're great for, and the Voice Library offers full text search. You can also filter by voice category (Professional Voice Clone or Voice Design), gender, age, accent, and use case. We're working on expanding the list of filters in the near future.

What's the difference between the Voice Library and Premade Voices?

The Premade Voices that appear in the dropdowns for Speech Synthesis and Projects are voices we create as ElevenLabs and share with our users. The Voice Library contains voices contributed by our community, including Voice Actors and other professionals.

Are all voices automatically shared in the Voice Library for others to use?

No! Only voices you actively choose to share in the Voice Library appear there.

Can someone else share my voice in the Voice Library?

We ask you to complete a verification step during the Professional Voice Cloning creation process that proves the voice is your own.
