ElevenLabs joins the EU AI Champions Initiative
Over 60 companies are working to strengthen Europe’s role in global AI
Press conferences will be available in Polish, English, and French using AI-generated voices
Poland has assumed the EU Council Presidency - and for the first time, press conferences will be available in multiple languages using AI. Over the next six months, more than 20 informal ministerial meetings will take place in Warsaw. Our goal is to make it easier for more people across Europe to follow the discussion.
These informal meetings bring together ministers from across the EU to discuss shared challenges and priorities, and help shape future policies by promoting cooperation between Member States. Every meeting is followed by a press conference that will be dubbed into Polish, English, and French using ElevenLabs’ AI Voices.
The Prime Minister's Office is overseeing the process to ensure translations accurately reflect the original speeches. Dubbed content will be available on the Presidency’s YouTube channel, where viewers can choose their preferred language track.
Our technology preserves tone and cadence, ensuring speakers sound like themselves in every language. The dubbing will use either AI-generated voices from our library or cloned voices of the speakers.
Every AI-dubbed video will include clear disclosure. A professional translation company working with the Prime Minister’s Office will verify accuracy, and GDPR compliance is a priority - anyone whose voice is used in the dubbing process must provide explicit consent.
We worked with the General Secretariat of the Council (GSC) in Brussels to review the agreement, and the Cybersecurity Department of the Ministry of Digital Affairs confirmed it meets the required security standards. Voices will only be used for press conference translations, and consent can be withdrawn at any time. Our platform safeguards against unauthorized voice cloning, and all AI-generated content is clearly labeled.
We’re providing this service free of charge. The Polish EU Council Presidency does not enter into paid partnerships with private companies.
By making press conferences more accessible in multiple languages, we’re helping to bridge communication gaps and give more people the chance to follow and participate in important discussions - without losing the nuances of each speaker’s voice.
