Introducing ElevenLabs for Students

The easiest way to prepare students for real-world scenarios is to give them access to  professional-grade tools. These are essential for skill development and bringing ideas to life. For students, access to these tools has usually been limited.

As a new school year starts, we want to change that. Today, we're launching ElevenLabs for Students, a new plan available to university students aged 18 and above in the US, Canada, EU27, Australia, and UK, with more countries to follow.

The plan includes 3 months of free access across ElevenCreative, ElevenAgents, and the ElevenAPI, as well as a free year of ElevenReader Ultra, our most advanced text-to-speech reader.

What students are building already 

Students worldwide already use our tools to bring their ideas to life. From producing films and podcasts, to conducting research, creating music, or building agents and applications that solve real-world problems, ElevenLabs is helping students turn ideas into action. 

Through hackathons and events, students receive free access to our tools for the duration of the competition. Their projects showcase what can be achieved with the right tools. 

Recently, a group from the University of Pennsylvania created a healthcare referrals switchboard which routes users directly to providers considering their context in order to book an appointment. At a hackathon in Warsaw, students created a “third pair of ears“ for the cockpit, which analyze real-time pilot-pilot and pilot-controller radio communications via an agent to flag potentially dangerous signs that could be missed by pilots. Another student developer, Bhavya Patel, created a voice agent designed to detect and alert social media users when the content they’re scrolling through contains misinformation or is emotionally manipulative.  

Students are also using voice AI and agents to help them as they study. During an ElevenHacks event, a student built a voice AI study partner which allows you to upload textbook pages or PDFs and talk to an agent about the content, receiving feedback on your responses. 

Beyond productivity, voice can make learning more accessible for dyslexic students, students with vision impairments, and those with a range of learning differences and preferences, while reducing screen time. People process information differently, and some find it easier to engage with ideas and work through problems by listening and speaking rather than reading and writing.

Impact Program x Professors

ElevenLabs tools are already making an impact in classrooms and labs around the world. Through our Impact Program x Professors initiative, more than 350 professors across nearly 50 countries have joined our educator community. Together, they have extended free access to ElevenLabs tools to more than 1,500 students. Betting on students

Students around the world are already building remarkable things with ElevenLabs. Our tools are built to work with human creativity, not around it. They don't come up with the idea or do the thinking that makes a project someone's own; they close the distance between an idea and a finished piece. What a student brings is what shapes the result. The point was never to replace that — it's to help bring their ideas to life.

ElevenLabs for Students makes this easier than ever. Students now have access to the tools directly, for whatever they decide to build. This is an invitation to the next generation of builders, researchers, entrepreneurs, and creators to develop their technical skills and turn their ideas into real projects.
