ElevenLabs launches in the Netherlands

Today, we are officially launching in the Netherlands and opening an office in Amsterdam.

We already support some of the country's largest telecom, food delivery, and healthcare companies, and now we’re doubling down on that by investing in a local team and physical presence.

We’re appointing Goswijn Thijssen to lead our Netherlands office. He’ll lead a growing team that supports our existing Dutch customers and helps new ones deploy natural, human-sounding AI across their organizations. We’re also planning to triple the size of our team in the Netherlands this year in roles across GTM, engineering, and more.

With our world-class team of researchers fine-tuning our models and local teams on the ground, we’ve been able to quickly adapt to customer needs and queries across the world. 

When KPN, the Netherlands’ largest telecom company, deployed our voice agents for customer support, we found the transcription model initially struggled with Dutch postcodes and dates of birth. The team gathered more Dutch voice data and fine-tuned the model to handle them reliably, lifting postcode recognition accuracy from 64% to 82%. KPN has since scaled its verification agent to around 60,000 calls per week at a 62% success rate, and reused the same stack to stand up an internal IT help desk and call-routing service.

Across industries, Dutch enterprises are putting ElevenLabs to work. We’re proud to support these companies, including:

• Just Eat Takeaway. The delivery service brought voice agents into conversations with customers, restaurant partners, and couriers across its markets, verifying callers, handling routine requests like cancellations, and routing the rest, in multiple languages.
• Redcare Pharmacy. One of Europe's largest online pharmacies has moved its customer service to EU-hosted ElevenLabs voice agents built to get details exactly right and to hand over to a person the moment one is needed.
• Medendo. The market leader in mental healthcare in the Netherlands captures thousands of patient-practitioner conversations, reducing admin so therapists can focus on the person in front of them.
• Talpa. Home to some of the country's biggest radio and TV brands, Talpa uses our voices for broadcast communications, including voices of its own in-house talent, as well as our dubbing technology, to take its content abroad.
• Creative Fabrica. The Amsterdam-born creative platform wove  our music, sound effects, speech, and transcription technologies into its products so creators can add a soundtrack or voice without leaving the platform.

Through our Impact Program, we aim to democratize access to advanced voice AI for the people and organizations using it to create meaningful change. Speech Assistant, an assistive technology developed in the Netherlands for people living with voice change and loss, is installed on more than 100,000 devices in over 150 countries. As an ElevenLabs Impact Partner, it gives people with permanent voice loss free access to our technology, directly within the Speech Assistant app.
