Today, we’re announcing that Alex Holt is taking on the role of Field CTO at ElevenLabs.

Alex will lead how we work with our customers to bring AI into production - working side by side with your teams, inside your systems, and focused on the outcomes you need to deliver. We have long believed that one of the biggest gaps in AI is not the promise of the technology, but the application of it: turning models into reliable, safe, and scalable products that create real impact for customers around the world.

Alex was one of ElevenLabs’ first employees. He joined in 2023, when we were a team of fewer than ten people, and has been central to building our products, scaling our forward deployed engineering function, and most of all, shaping the culture of the company as we grew to more than 500 people. He represents many of the traits we value most at ElevenLabs: running towards the fire, striving for excellence, thinking from first principles, and staying close to the people and problems we are building for.

One story that captures this well comes from an important customer in California who needed support building an ambitious voice agent project that would help shape the future of gaming. Alex was in Asia with our research team at the time - keeping the research and deployment feedback loop tight - but still led the product, engineering, infra, and research teams through his nights to build one of the largest conversational agent deployments of the time. Once the experience was ready, he flew to the West Coast to be onsite with the business and make sure the rollout ramped smoothly. That work became the blueprint for our private deployments, and now for our on-premise work too.

Before ElevenLabs, Alex worked at Palantir, where he helped lead high-stakes engineering deployments with the NHS during the Covid crisis - supporting systems for PPE distribution, vaccine rollout, and healthcare operations at national scale. That experience of building under pressure, across complex institutions, with real-world consequences has shaped the way he approaches applied AI today.

Since joining ElevenLabs, Alex and the FDE team have worked with Fortune 500 companies, FTSE 100 companies, and governments around the world to move AI from pilots into production. Their work spans helping Deutsche Telekom deploy the world's first agent capable of live translation and assistance within a phone call, to supporting the Ukrainian Government with voice agents that keep government phone lines staffed when air raid warnings force employees to shelter.

We have always tried to keep titles light at ElevenLabs, focusing instead on the work and the impact. But as we take the next careful steps in our journey, we are starting to introduce the leadership team that will help guide this next chapter. Alex is the first of those appointments.

The journey ahead is long, and we’re excited to have Alex lead the next evolution of ElevenLabs - working with our customers around the world to bring the best of AI into production.

Congratulations, Alex.
