Beyond search: a voice-enabled hub for AI in Education

AiED Certified is now the home for the UK’s AI in Education Certification, backed by a clear framework, guidance, and a secure evidence portal. Alongside this, the site still provides access to its legacy library of more than 250 curated resources, including case studies, prompt guides, and policy briefings.

While these materials are no longer directly browsable, the ElevenLabs-powered voice agent has knowledge of the full archive and can be asked about it. The aim was to refocus the site on the certification framework while keeping the resource collection available through a more intuitive, conversational interface.

Voice as an interface

To achieve this, AiED Certified embedded a conversational voice agent—powered by ElevenLabs—across the new site. Instead of clicking through menus or guessing keywords, users can now ask directly:

"What are the five elements of the framework?"

"Do you have a case study about using AI to support SEND in schools?"

The agent responds instantly in a natural, human-sounding voice, surfacing the right part of the certification framework or retrieving relevant items from the resource library.

It turns complexity into clarity, helping busy school leaders get the information they need in seconds.
