Healthy Hip Hop scales music-first learning for kids

Healthy Hip Hop started with a personal moment. As a father and lifelong hip hop artist, its founder, Roy Scott, heard his son repeat lyrics that did not reflect the values he wanted to pass on. That led to a shift - from making music to building content that reinforces confidence, literacy, and positive behavior for kids.

Today, Healthy Hip Hop combines culture, education, and technology to create music and stories for children, parents, and educators. Through our Impact Program, we partnered with Healthy Hip Hop to scale that mission through character-driven audio and music.

From music to a global content platform

What began as music is now a broader platform for learning and creativity. Healthy Hip Hop is building a global library of culturally relevant content designed to support reading, social-emotional learning, and storytelling.

Their goal is to become a central hub for this category - combining entertainment with education in a format children return to regularly.

Bringing characters to life with Eleven Music and Text to Speech

Using Eleven Music and Text to Speech, alongside our new Music Finetunes, Healthy Hip Hop developed consistent voices and musical identities for Leo the Lion, Princess Panda, and Tigressa.

These characters now anchor a growing catalog of music, audio stories, and character-led learning experiences.

Expanding access through multilingual content

Healthy Hip Hop is extending its reach by generating content in multiple languages.

Teachers use this audio to support reading and engagement in the classroom. Parents report that children repeat phrases, build vocabulary, and engage more actively with storytelling. Audio and music reinforce learning through repetition and familiarity.

Expanding how content is created

Healthy Hip Hop is building toward a more responsive content ecosystem, where children have greater influence over the stories, music, and characters they engage with.

Instead of passively consuming content, kids can shape what gets created - from story ideas to themes that reflect their experiences. This will allow Healthy Hip Hop to respond more quickly to what resonates with students, while maintaining quality and consistency across their catalog.

Building toward scalable impact

We see this as part of a broader shift in how educational content is created and experienced. AI enables faster production, but more importantly, it enables new ways to adapt content to audiences.

Healthy Hip Hop is building a system where culture, creativity, and learning are tightly connected - and where children can see themselves reflected in the music they hear.
