We’re introducing Chat Mode, a new capability that lets you build text-only conversational agents.

Chat Mode is designed for contexts where typing is more effective than speaking. It’s ideal when:

  • Customers prefer typing to speaking.
  • Precise inputs are required, such as order IDs or email addresses.
  • Simple issues can be resolved quickly before handing off to a voice agent for more complex tasks.
