Composer: section-by-section song editing in ElevenMusic

We're introducing Composer, a new way to build and edit songs section-by-section in ElevenMusic.

Start with your own lyrics or track, a prompt, or a blank page. From there, you can shape each part of the track independently, for example, rewrite a verse, slow down the bridge or change the key of the chorus. When you regenerate one section, the rest of your track stays untouched.

Edit each section independently with Composer

Music rarely comes together in one take. You might like the verse but you want a different chorus, or you have the right melody but need to change the lyrics.

Composer lets you work on those decisions individually. Each section of your track can be edited and regenerated without changing the rest. Adjust the style, tempo, energy, instrumentation, key, or duration of the section you are working on while keeping everything else in place.

Bring and edit your own lyrics

You can add your own lyrics to any section of a track and edit them at any point in the process. For example, rewrite a line in verse two and then regenerate only that section to hear the new lyrics sung, with no change to the rest of the track.

With section-by-section editing, you can continue developing your lyrics without needing to regenerate the full song every time the words change. 

Generate multiple takes before choosing one

Sometimes you know a section isn't working before you've figured out what should replace it.

With Composer, you can generate multiple versions of a verse or chorus and audition them side by side before deciding which one belongs in the track. Keep the version that works, then continue editing from there.

Reshape the structure of your song

Composer also gives you control over the structure of the overall composition. Swap the bridge. Double the chorus. Add an outro.

Instead of treating the first generated structure as fixed, you can continue rearranging and refining the composition as the song develops.
