Gaia uses ElevenLabs to localize content for global audiences

Gaia is a global streaming network focused on the evolution of consciousness. They produce original series on topics rarely covered by mainstream platforms—exploring the nature of the universe, ancient wisdom, the unexplained, and alternative healing.

To serve their global audience, Gaia needed a faster, higher-quality way to localize their video content. After testing three other AI dubbing platforms, they chose ElevenLabs for the strength of our voice models and the breadth of our voice library.

We began by helping Gaia dub trailers and social clips using our Dubbing Studio. It preserves the tone, emotion, and timing of each speaker, delivering a seamless experience across languages.

Following strong early results, Gaia expanded their use to include longer-form content like documentaries and full series. This involved more advanced workflows—using Studio to create dubbing scripts from subtitles, generate audio tracks, modulate voice characteristics, and match speaker inflection.

Saving time and reducing costs

Long-form dubbing is traditionally resource-intensive. Using ElevenLabs, Gaia significantly streamlined their workflow. Alessandra DeMello Castanho, Senior Manager of International Operations at Gaia, shared:
