ElevenLabs Impact Program

On a mission to empower one million voices, the ElevenLabs Impact Program provides free licenses to individuals with accessibility needs and nonprofit organizations across healthcare, education, and culture.

Who can join the Impact Program?

Nonprofit organizations

Could your nonprofit benefit from audio AI?

If your nonprofit works in healthcare, education, or culture, you can apply through our Impact Partnership Application for a free, renewable 12-month ElevenLabs license.

If your organization serves a region or diagnosis that causes permanent voice loss or blindness that isn’t yet represented by our current partners, and you’d like to help us expand access to ElevenLabs, please apply.

Individuals

Are you living with a condition that affects your ability to speak or access written information?

If you’re experiencing permanent voice loss, or are blind or have low vision, you may be eligible for free access through the ElevenLabs Impact Program. Individuals with speech loss can apply for an AI voice clone to communicate, while blind or low-vision users can access ElevenReader for natural-sounding audio versions of written content.

We currently support a wide range of diagnoses and regions through our nonprofit application partners. You can find the full list in our FAQs.

The Impact Program is structured around three core pillars.

We have partnered with 300+ mission-driven organizations in 35+ countries and across all 50 U.S states to democratize access to ElevenLabs technology for those who need it most.

Healthcare

Restoring voices and improving care delivery. Individuals with permanent voice loss use personalized AI voices to communicate and reclaim their identity, while organizations create multilingual patient education, train clinicians, and support AAC programs.

Education

Making learning accessible to everyone. Individuals who are blind or low-vision use ElevenReader for natural-sounding read-aloud access, while organizations turn curricula and course materials into expressive, multilingual audio for all learners.

Culture

Preserving and amplifying human stories. Cultural nonprofits use ElevenLabs to create multilingual audio guides, oral histories, and descriptive audio that make art and heritage accessible to global audiences.

Stories that move and inspire

ElevenLabs and the National Federation of the Blind bring accessible reading to more people

We've partnered with the National Federation of the Blind to make ElevenReader available to blind readers across the U.S. at no cost. The collaboration gives users lifelike narration, full screen reader compatibility, and the freedom to choose how they hear written content.

ElevenLabs Innovates in Assistive Technology

Eight seconds of audio from an old VHS tape was all Sarah needed to reclaim her voice with ElevenLabs — and through her Smartbox assistive technology device, finally let her children hear her authentic voice.

Ed Riefenstahl continues teaching with AI voice

Ed Riefenstahl, the Director of Experiential Learning at TCU’s Neeley School of Business, suffered a traumatic brain injury from a fall and was later diagnosed with bulbar palsy, a condition that weakens the muscles used for speaking and swallowing. Using an ElevenLabs Professional Voice Clone, Ed continued to teach.

Restoring identity through voice in Africa: Senses Hub x ElevenLabs

Millions of people across Africa live with speech impairments or loss of voice. Through our partnership with Senses Hub, we’re developing personalized, culturally relevant voices that restore identity, confidence, and connection across the continent.

How voice AI is helping Spain's dogs find homes

In Spain, where dog abandonment rates are the highest in Europe, one journalist and her inseparable shadow, Colega, sparked a cultural shift. What began as a guide to dog-friendly cafés and beaches grew into Fundación SirPerro Colega—an organization focused on giving families the knowledge they need to keep their pets at home, and providing educational tools to support dog shelters.

Laughing through it all: a comedy special like no other

Jules Rodriguez was diagnosed with ALS, and made the difficult decision to undergo a tracheotomy. He still wanted to perform, tell jokes on stage, and share his passion for comedy. In 2024, Jules performed his first stand-up set at Dania Improv in Miami, delivering every line in his ElevenLabs Professional Voice Clone.

Breaking barriers in congress

When U.S. Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton began losing her voice due to Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), it seemed like the end of her ability to communicate in her own voice. But with ElevenLabs' technology, everything changed.

By recreating her voice as it sounded before her diagnosis, Congresswoman Wexton became the first lawmaker to deliver a House floor speech powered by AI, proving that even at the top of their field, people can overcome incredible challenges with the right tools.

Living with Lemons, Speaking in Her Own Voice

After her diagnosis, Debbie Lopez started Living with Lemons, a YouTube vlog documenting her experience with ALS. Early on, she recorded herself regularly—not just to share her story, but to capture her natural speaking voice while she still could. In this way, she used her YouTube channel to preserve and recreate her voice.

Honoring veterans and their voices

On Veterans Day 2025, we honored Lt Col Thomas Brittingham, a pilot, father, and veteran living with ALS, who regained his voice through the ElevenLabs Impact Program, one story among many showing how veterans are finding their voices again through technology.

Partnered with 300+ nonprofit organizations

Our application partners help us distribute access to individuals with accessibility needs. Our other nonprofit partners use ElevenLabs technology for their own projects in healthcare, education, and culture.
