Overview
Music Marketplace is a library of AI-generated songs created by ElevenLabs users and available for licensing across different usage types. Creators can publish songs generated with ElevenLabs, and other users can purchase usage rights to use, remix, and download those songs for their own projects.
When a song is purchased, the buyer receives a license based on the selected usage type, and the creator receives a portion of the payment as a payout.
Music Marketplace is designed to make discovering, licensing, remixing, and using music simple and straightforward.
How licensing works
When you purchase a track on Music Marketplace, you are buying a license based on the usage type you select. This license defines where and how the music can be used.
After purchasing, you can download and remix the track an unlimited number of times while your paid ElevenLabs subscription is active. If your subscription ends, you may continue using any music you have already purchased under the respective usage type. However, you will not be able to create new remixes or downloads without an active ElevenLabs subscription.
Any derivative work (remixes) remain subject to the same usage type and licensing restrictions as the original track.
All licenses are subject to the Music Marketplace Addendum.
Usage types
When purchasing a song on Music Marketplace, you select a usage type. The selected usage type determines the license you are purchasing and defines how you can use the song and any derivative works.
Social Media License
This license is intended for individual creators and personal content published on your own channels, including:
- Social media platforms (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X)
- Monetized videos
- Podcasts
- Personal websites and portfolios
Paid Marketing License
This license is designed for business and commercial use. It includes everything in the Social Media License, and also allows use in:
- Paid ads and digital marketing
- Client, freelance, or agency projects
- Commercial products and brand content
Offline License
This license includes everything in the Paid Marketing License, and also allows use in:
- Live events and performances
- Trade shows and conferences
- Physical venues and installations
- In-store or on-location playback
Enterprise & Custom Licensing
Some use cases are not covered by the standard usage types and require a custom agreement. This includes:
- TV, cinema, and streaming platforms (VOD/OTT)
- Large-scale commercial distribution

Prohibited uses
The following uses are not permitted under any license:
- Distribution to music streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud, etc.)
- Redistributing, reselling, sublicensing, or claiming ownership of the music
Creator payouts
When a song is published, it becomes available in the Music Marketplace. Each time a user purchases a song, the creator earns a portion of the purchase amount, which is accumulated as earnings in their account.
Creators can see how many times each song has been purchased, along with their total earnings across all published songs. Earnings start at 25% of the purchase price. Applicable fees and taxes may be withheld.
Payouts are processed through the existing ElevenLabs payout system.

What happens to remixes I create?
