Einführung von Eleven v3 Alpha
v3 ausprobierenStart creating passive income from your voice today.
In less than two years, voice actors have earned a combined $5 million through the ElevenLabs Voice Library. And it’s now easier than ever to monetize your voice.
All it takes is one high-quality recording. From there, your cloned voice can be licensed and used repeatedly — without you ever stepping into a booth.
In this guide, we’ll break down how ElevenLabs Payouts work, how to add your voice to the Library, and what you can realistically earn from this new passive income stream.
ElevenLabs Payouts is a royalty system built around our Voice Library—a searchable catalog of AI voice clones available for commercial and creative use. When a user selects your voice to generate speech, you get paid.
The system tracks usage by character count. For every 1,000 characters generated with your voice, you earn a fixed fee. The default rate is around $0.03 per 1,000 characters. Professional voices can request custom pricing.
It’s a self-serve process—no licensing deals or contracts required. You don’t need to be a professional voice actor. Just upload clean, high-quality audio, pass the voice verification, and opt into the Library. Once approved, your voice becomes available to other ElevenLabs users: developers, content creators, indie studios, and more.
Payouts are processed weekly via Stripe Connect. You start receiving earnings once your balance hits $10.
You maintain full control at all times. Want to remove your voice? Change your pricing? Moderate how it’s used? All of that is built into the platform. You can also tag your voice by accent, age, or tone to improve search visibility. Daily analytics let you track usage, discover where your voice is appearing, and monitor how much you’ve earned.
This is closer to licensing than traditional voice acting. Once your voice is live, it earns passive royalties while you focus on other work.
Getting started doesn’t require industry connections or studio gear. What matters most is clarity—a clean recording, a natural tone, and care in how you present your voice card.
Here’s how to go from raw audio to a live, monetized voice clone:
1. Start with the right plan.
You’ll need the Creator Plan ($22/month) to access professional voice cloning. After uploading, you can downgrade—your voice stays live, and earnings continue.
2. Record clean, long-form audio.
The system requires at least 30 minutes of expressive speech. For better quality, aim for 2–3 hours. Use a decent mic, avoid background noise, and trim silences.
3. Upload via Professional Voice Clone.
Go to Voices → Add New Voice → Professional Voice Clone. You’ll complete an on-camera test to confirm ownership and consent.
4. Publish to the Voice Library.
Toggle your voice card to “Shared” and “Discoverable.” Add tags (accent, tone, language), set a rate, and write a clear, searchable bio.
5. Optimize for traction.
Upload a 10–30 second preview clip and apply for the HQ badge. This improves visibility and allows for higher rates. Use detailed tags that match real creator needs.
6. Track and iterate.
Check daily analytics to monitor earnings, usage, and popularity. If performance lags, consider re-recording or retagging your card.
It depends. While ElevenLabs has paid out over $1 million to creators, individual results vary based on quality, discoverability, and demand.
The base rate is $0.03 per 1,000 characters—roughly 90 seconds of spoken audio. A 10-minute YouTube script (about 9,000 characters) earns ~$0.27. On its own, that’s not much—but repeated use can add up.
Voices with HQ status or rare qualities (like a specific accent or tone) can request higher rates—up to $0.20 per 1,000 characters.
Real examples:
These aren’t rare outliers. They reflect what happens when a clean, well-tagged voice fills a niche creators are actively searching for.
This is a long-tail model. If your voice meets a real need—narration, storytelling, regional authenticity—it can earn passive income for months or years.
The Voice Library is one of the few scalable, passive income models in the creative space. Once your voice is approved, you're no longer trading time for money—you’re licensing an asset that works in the background.
The bar for entry is low. But success depends on high-quality audio, thoughtful presentation, and smart positioning.
If your voice fills a specific need—warm narration, precise instruction, eerie sci-fi—it can stand out.
Maybe not enough to quit your job (yet), but enough to get paid for doing nothing more than letting your voice be heard.
