Living with Lemons, Speaking in Her Own Voice
Debbie Lopez turned a YouTube vlog into a way to preserve her voice against ALS.
How do we show that cloning a voice in 12 Indian languages with ElevenLabs is authentic, easy, and quick? We do it live.
At the Empower India Conference at the India Institute of Technology (IIT) in Delhi, India, we demonstrated live voice cloning in 12 Indian languages—completely unscripted, with volunteers from the audience.
No slides. No smoke and mirrors. Just real people creating instant voice clones and using them right there on stage.
ElevenLabs voice cloning is now available in: Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Nepali, Punjabi, Sindhi, Tamil, and Telugu.
And this is just the start.
We also showed that when you clone your voice in one language, your clone can speak in any of the 73 supported languages.
English to Hindi? Yes. Malayalam to Swahili? Yes. Marathi to Icelandic? Yes.
For multilingual speakers around the world, ElevenLabs makes it simple to communicate across languages while maintaining a consistent, authentic voice.
Our voice is part of our identity. The closer a voice clone matches the original, the better it preserves that identity—especially for people at risk of voice loss or those who have already lost their voice.
Through the ElevenLabs Impact Program, we aim to provide free access to our technology for anyone over 18 with permanent speech loss. This ensures that access to lifelike voice cloning is not only culturally inclusive but also financially and socially equitable.
Voice is also becoming the primary interface for AI. Our goal is to help everyone use the voice they prefer, in any language they choose.
Creating a voice clone with ElevenLabs is fast and straightforward:
Live demos matter because they’re honest. Even when conditions aren’t perfect, they show how the technology performs in real-world use.
We trust our technology to perform not just on stage, but at scale—for everyone in India who can benefit from communicating in their own language, in their own voice.
At ElevenLabs, we’re making voice cloning inclusive and equitable. And we prove it every time we demo live.
