# 停顿和 SSML 音素标签是否适用于 API？

**停顿：**

通过 API 生成音频时，可以使用 break 标签。这会在语音中创建精准自然的停顿，而不只是在词语之间添加静音；AI 能够真正理解此语法，并加入自然停顿。

break 标签的语法为 `<break time="1.5s" />`，AI 最多可处理时长为 3 秒的停顿。

除[Eleven v4](/docs/zh/overview/capabilities/text-to-speech/eleven-v4) 和 Eleven v3 外，所有模型均支持 SSML break 标签，并可通过 API 生成音频时使用。

我们的 **Eleven Flash v2** 和 **Eleven Turbo v2** 模型支持 **SSML 音素标签**，使用这些模型通过 API 生成音频时可以使用。

请注意，音素仅适用于英语模型，目前不支持其他语言。
