# Are there situations where my payments might be delayed or withheld?

Yes, payments can be delayed or withheld if there’s a violation of the [Terms](https://elevenreader.io/publishing-terms-of-service), invalid activity, like artificial downloads or suspicious actions, is detected, or when payments are under investigation for any other reason. If no violations are found, payments will resume.
